DOFF Cleaning | Steam Stone Cleaning

DOFF Cleaning is the right tool for stone and brick cleaning and is fast and effective.

WHAT CAN DOFF BE USED FOR?

The steam / superheated water will remove: moss, algae, fungi and other biological matter and will also kill off spores. This means there’s then no need to use a chemical biocide during the removal process or as a protection against further biological activity. We have used the process to clean stone, concrete and brickwork

HOW DOES DOFF CLEANING WORK?

DOFF cleans stonework and masonry using high-temperature steam, up to 150 C. Whilst the temperature in the system is high, the pressure on the surface being cleaned is very gentle and the volume of water is low. The surface is therefore not saturated and will be dry within minutes.

WITH ABSOLUTELY NO SURFACE DAMAGE.

We recommend the DOFF for use on surfaces such as brick, stone, concrete, tiled (glazed and encaustic), wood, faience and terracotta. It is a useful sterilisation tool for kitchens, toilets, swimming pools, hospitals and factories.

NO HARMFUL RESIDUE.

As the Doff uses super-heated steam, there are no harmful chemicals being used. After being used outdoors, the debris needs to be separated from the water and disposed of in accordance to local regulations. The water, however, will simply run into the ground to be absorbed back into the earth.

We now have fantastic stripped beams with all original detail intact, which would have been blasted away by sand. We would not hesitate to recommend Midland Precision Blasting to anyone, and will definitely be using them again to do other rooms in our house.

The soda left a protective coating on the steel chassis which still hasn't corroded a few months later. Essential, as I needed to do some fabrication work on it before painting it.
The fiberglass tub came out very well with no damage, essential as sanding/stripping it in the conventional way could have distorted the distinctive lines of the car.
A first class service, honest and knowledgeable about his work. Communication was excellent as well. I was kept informed all the way through the process via email and phone, especially when decisions needed to be made regarding small problems arose with the condition of some of the parts.
