Types Of Blast Cleaning Services UK
We offer range of blasting services & blast cleaning methods
Soda Blasting
Soda Blasting – the modern alternative to sandblasting. Soda is unique as a blast medium as unlike all other blast media it is not aggressive and does not require vast amounts of air pressure to efficiently strip coatings safely. It does not generate lots of heat which can damage the substrate being cleaned and is safe for all delicate materials.
Glass Blasting
Glass – although soda is an excellent material it is much expensive than other media and the advantages it brings are sometimes not required. The glass we use is not post consumer waste recycled. Ours is new glass and the by product of the glass industry, this ensures we have no contaminants such as metal from bottle tops and provides a consistent blast. Depending on the job we use 4 grades of glass all with the same quality.
Aluminium or Iron Silicate Blasting
Aluminium or Iron Silicate-A synthetic mineral abrasive which provides a coarse etch or anchor pattern. Ideal for cleaning off heavily corroded steel such as ships hulls. Finer grades are used for stainless steels etc.
Garnet Blasting
Aluminium or Iron Silicate-A synthetic mineral abrasive which provides a coarse etch or anchor pattern. Ideal for cleaning off heavily corroded steel such as ships hulls. Finer grades are used for stainless steels etc.
Repainting
Repainting – we are able to provide costings for retreatment of the surfaces after blasting.
